Hi and long time since my last communication with you!  I wanted to share a poem with you this time.  I wrote this several years ago for a friend who was struggling with such rage.  The entire poem came direct from the LORD after a phone conversation with this friend.  I hope that it will minister to someone out there!  God bless each one of you! 

                             THE FACE IN THE MIRROR

Clouded by the haze of confusion,

Wearied by years of denial;

Afraid to look in the mirror,

Reflecting a face with no smile.

How long since joy filled this spirit?

How long has this emptiness reigned?

How long has a mask to the world

Covered this face filled with pain?

Too few nights with sweet dreams,

Too many the angry bad times.

Too often rage won the battle

For control of this face out of rhyme.

Is this all that life has to offer?

Is peace just a hopeless mirage?

Or is there a light through the darkness

For this face in its fear-filled collage?

Then hope appears in the distance,

A path found through the maze;

A Hand, unseen, yet leading,

Restoring this face on the way.

The desert of rage ends in oasis,

Hope glimpsed, this soul might yet win;

The fog lifts to see Jesus waiting

To turn this face, yearning, toward Him.

What joy!  The veil has been lifted,

The lessons from pain are now clear;

For only through victories in valleys,

Will this face reflect His in the mirror!
